Sediment: Bedload Source Yield Estimates in Corte Madera Cr |
|
Caption: This chart displays preliminary annual bedload sediment yield estimates in Corte Madera Creek at Ross. Upper and lower limit estimates suggest that bedload sediments from hillslopes in upland subwatersheds are major contributors to Corte Madera Creek. Stetson Engineers, Inc. (2000) states that bedload sediment levels are 'unnaturally' high in this watershed. The total bedload sediment yield estimate ranges from 295 to 571 tons/sq mi/year, which is greater than the nearby, undeveloped Lone Tree Creek watershed (240 tons/sq mi/year).
