   Caption:  Water temperatures in South Fork Big River (Site 791) in 1996 peaked at 23.5 degrees C in late July. The maximum diurnal temperature shift was approximately 4-5 degrees Celsius throughout summer. Fluctuations of 10.5 C were recorded during the period of record.
