Roads: Stream Crossings in Arcata Area Sub-Basins 2000 |
|
Caption: This chart shows the number of road-stream crossings in all Arcata Area Calwater Planning Watersheds. Stream crossings can be sources of pollution and pose risk in some locations of catastrophic failure. The Mad River Slough and Jolly Giant Calwaters encompass the city of Arcata where sections of Jolly Giant, Campbell and Janes Creeks are culverted. This skews statistics on crossings low in these Calwater Watersheds. See Info Links for access to more background information.
