| Caption: The chart above shows fall Chinook salmon redds in Horse Linto Creek, including its major tributary Cedar Creek from 1980-2002. Fall Chinooks were supplemented by a small-scale hatchery from 1991 through 1994 (see Picture), which could have increased adult returns through 1998. A Six Rivers National Forest report (Dutra and Thomas, 1999) suggests that low returns in 1998 are owing to high flows in January and March of 1995. They base that assertion on downstream migrant trapping data from that year. The USFS uses 2.25 adults per redd to estimate the number of spawners.
