    |
Caption:  California Department of Fish and Game carcass surveys in 1989 (1989/90 spawning season) found 2842 Chinook salmon in the reach immediately below Lewiston Dam and the Trinity River Hatchery. The number of carcasses diminished progressively downstream to the North Fork Trinity. Lower river reaches were not surveyed as they have been in recent years. The carcass surveys are conducted in fall but may extend into the early winter months of the following year. Click on the Info Links tab for more information.
