| Caption: The number of steelhead nests per kilometer was calculated for the chart above from California Department of Fish and Game surveys in the late winter and spring in numerous South Fork Trinity River tributaries. This subset was from Hayfork Creek and its tributaries and shows that steelhead escapement can be highly variable.
