Fish: Chinook (Fall) SF Trinity Population Trends |

    |
Caption:  The California Department of Fish and Game estimated fall Chinook salmon escapement in the South Fork Trinity River between 1985 and 1990. Fish were counted and tagged at Sandy Bar weir and then spawner counts were conducted. The number of marked fish among spawners was used to expand counts for a total escapement estimate. Weir counts indicated that Fall Chinook rebounded in 1991 - 1993 but no estimates were made on the total population. See Info Links for more information.
