| Caption: Un-ionized ammonia is extremely toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has set a maximum objective of 0.025 milligrams per liter (mg/L) shown in red hatch marks above. Five out of eight stations monitored by the NCRWQCB (Winchester, 1995) exceeded EPA standards. Pump 9 and Pump D show the highest un-ionized ammonium levels.
