   Caption:  The canopy cover of the West Branch Duffy Gulch was 93%, leaving 7% open to direct sun according to a September 1996 habitat typing survey. The survey covered 3,138 feet or 0.6 miles. Conifers provided shade to 55% of the stream while deciduous trees, such as alder and willow, provided 38%. Data collected by Georgia Pacific and supplied for use in KRIS by the California Department of Fish and Game, Sacramento, CA.
