   Caption:  The canopy cover of Kass Creek was 92% with 8% open to direct sun according to an August 1996 habitat typing survey. The length of the survey was 15,990 feet or 3 miles. Conifers provided shade to only 24% of the stream while deciduous trees, such as alder and willow, provided shade to 68% of the length of the stream. Data collected by Georgia Pacific and supplied for use in KRIS by the California Department of Fish and Game, Sacramento, CA. Click on the InfoLinks tab to review the habitat typing report.
