Caption:  This chart shows the number of steelhead captured using a 100 foot beach seine at all four stations in the Russian River estuary by sampling date in 1996. Note that few or no steelhead were sampled in the estuary in September when water quality may have been most impaired. Data provided by Merritt-Smith Consulting in a study performed for Sonoma County. See InfoLinks for more information.
