Caption: This chart shows the results of a July and August 1992 habitat typing survey of the Russian River in the Alexander Valley reach, with relative lengths of pools, riffles and runs (flatwater), and dry reaches of stream displayed. Pool frequency is low, with only 21.7% pools. The Alexander Valley Reach extends from the confluence of Big Sulphur Springs to the intersection of the mainstem and the Alexander Valley Bridge.
