Caption:  The floating weekly average water temperature in Booth Gulch did not vary between adjacent riffle (CFT10) and pool (CFT5) site in 1996, but did so in 1995. Preferred temperature monitoring protocols call for temperature probes to be placed in riffles where stratification of water temperature is less likely to occur.
