Caption:  The Salmon Troller's Marketing Association operated a fyke net in Smith Creek for 92 days in the spring of 1996. Total number of aquatic invertebrates captured show that steelhead trout out migrants were far more numerous than coho salmon out migrants, and that only 40 coho smolts were captured. Numbers of fish trapped cannot be construed as a fish population estimate because of unknown trap efficiency and avoidance of the trap by fish at higher flows. See Info Links for more information.
