Habitat: Pool Depth, South Fork and Tributaries |
|
Caption: The above chart illustrates how pools with depths in excess of 3 feet are rare in the South Fork Ten Mile River basin. The South Fork is a large stream where most pools would be expected to be at least three feet deep under a variety of conditions. All tributaries in the Ten Mile basin have fewer than 25% pools deeper than 3 feet. According to CDFG benchmarks for this habitat feature, all Ten Mile tributaries would be described as providing only poor quality habitat for salmonid fish rearing (CDFG 1994). Streams are sorted by basin area. See Info Links for more information.
