Fish: RC Outmigrant Catch Totals, Boyes Creek, 2001 |
|
Caption: This chart shows the total number of fish captured by a fyke net in Boyes Creek from February 27 to June 11, 2001. Coho were the dominant fish and cutthroat were more abundant than steelhead. Young-of-the-year trout were identified to species, and only one of the 60 yearling trout was positively identified as a steelhead. The trap was operated by the Humboldt State University Fisheries Coop. Numbers of fish trapped are not to be construed as a fish population estimate because of unknown trap efficiency and avoidance of the trap by fish at higher flows.
