Fish: Plantings in Russian River of Exotic Species |

Caption: This chart shows the number of fish planted in the Russian River according to available records from California Department of Fish and Game, some dating back to 1870. Data were taken directly from Steiner (1996) in which numbers are reported by decade. All bass were planted prior to 1960, except for the 3000 striped bass planted in the 1960s. All exotic salmonids were planted prior to 1940, except Brown trout for which at least 160,586 were planted since 1990. See Info Links for more information.
